Dr. Brian Prowell is the Principal Engineer for Advanced Materials Services, LLC (AMS). Brian is a Registered Professional Engineer with over 15 years experience in construction materials. He served as Assistant Director of the National Center for Asphalt Technology and developed contacts throughout United States and Europe which provide him with insight into locally available materials, construction practices and specifications.
Brian also has extensive field construction experience with asphalt pavements in general and motorsports tracks in particular. He has provided on-site construction and testing services for the reconstruction or major repair of ten NASCAR sanctioned speedways, including both ovals and road courses. Brian has provided similar serves to multiple other motorsports facilities.
AMS is an engineering consulting firm recognized for providing highly specialized services covering the design, construction and maintenance of asphalt pavements. AMS specializes in pavements for high stress applications such as racetracks, airfields and ports. AMS also has extensive experience in pavement management and forensic investigations which assist in the development of pavement repair and rehabilitation strategies to extend the useful life of existing motorsports facilities.
